We all know that physical fitness is pretty important. There are a plethora of reasons why it is good for us to stay fit and not eat donuts everyday.  From reducing stress levels to feeling more confident in ourselves fitness is definitely important. However, how often do we think about the role our physical health plays in our marriage? It is an important question and one that needs to be discussed

The answer is that couples who have good overall physical health stay together longer and lead happier lives. However, health is intentional! it can be difficult to cut down on sweets when it is obviously much easier to sit down with a big bag of chips and veg on the couch, but it is necessary for long term relational health. Support each other and lift each other up on the hard days, and kick some butt on the good days.  As an added bonus, jump in the shower together after a workout and enjoy that runner’s high that you just earned!
